Saturday, April 24, 2010

Spent the weekend with the girls at Fujairah, had so much fun!! Definitely a trip I won't forget. To hilarious odd random precious moments that are so small yet they got stuck in my head and are repeated over & over again.

Set you free

Girls are taught a lot of stuff growing up. If a guy punches you he likes you. Never try to trim your own bangs and someday you will meet a wonderful guy and get your very own happy ending. Every movie we see, every story we’re told implores us to wait for it, the third act twist, the unexpected declaration of love, the exception to the rule. But sometimes we’re so focused on finding our happy ending we don’t learn how to read the signs. How to tell from the ones who want us and the ones who don’t, the ones who will stay and the ones who will leave. And maybe a happy ending doesn’t include a guy, maybe… it’s you, on your own, picking up the pieces and starting over, freeing yourself up for something better in the future. Maybe the happy ending is… just… moving on.

There's always ..

'There’s always going to be the one thing you wish for but never get. That one mistake you can never take back. And most of all, that one memory you would do anything for, just to have it again.'

Sexy Scarlet.

I'm not a fan of Scarlett Johansson, she kinda gets on my nerves. Especially in her horrible movie, Vicky Cristina Barcelona but oh god I'm definitely a fan of all her Ad's, impressive. In some she looks so gorgeous, I love them. Scarlett the 'face' of Dolce & Gabbana's makeup line has also modeled for Mango Autumn/ Winter '09 campaign & Spring/Summer '10. My favorite are S/S '10 (Last three pictures) so pretty!

Is it wrong to ... ?

The Crime

Feeling a little relieved when a ' perfect ' friend fails.

The Verdict
"Feeling relieved in this situation is not wrong, but the belief that your friend was perfect in the first place is. People may try to hide their mistakes and imperfections from you, but everyone is only human and everyone has human flaws and failings. If you are feeling relieved in this situation it suggests that you believe that you are somehow more flawed then your ' perfect ' friend. You enjoy their fall from grace because it makes you feel better about yourself."
The Lesson
No one is perfect, so don't be so hard on yourself.

The Crime
Feeling guilty for making decision against what everyone wanted you to do.
The Verdict
"Guilty feelings are caused by unhelpful thinking patterns and having unrealistic rules for yourself, for example: ' I should do what others want. ' Everyone's entitled to make their own decisions and even making the wrong decision can be a great learning experience. It's wrong to feel guilty in this situation as long as you were respectful to others when rejecting their suggestions."
The Lesson
You are entitled to live your own life and make your own mistakes. Decisions you make should be made for you and not anyone else.

The Crime
Desperately wanting people's approval
The Verdict
"Most people want others to like and approve of them. This is absolutely normal and okay, however it is wrong to want others approval so much that you are willing to do things that are not genuine to you to please them, or you're willing to sacrifice your own priorities, wants and needs to meet other people's expectations"
The Lesson
If you feel like you left your identity at the door years ago, then it's time to rediscover the REAL you.No, we're not saying you need to buy a round-the-world ticket in order to 'find yourself', but just try to remember that being a people pleaser to the detriment of your own identity can be damaging to you.
